Der Vorstand der Point Alpha Stiftung, Philipp Metzler, empfing sie, f\u00fchrte durch die Dauerausstellung im Haus auf der Grenze und erl\u00e4uterte den Erinnerungsort des Kalten Krieges und der deutschen Teilung.<\/p>\n<p>Zus\u00e4tzlich war Martin Henkel, CDU-Abgeordneter im Th\u00fcringer Landtag, ehemaliger B\u00fcrgermeister der Point-Alpha-Stadt Geisa und Stiftungsratsmitglied, bei der F\u00fchrung dabei. Er beschrieb, wie sich das Aufwachsen im Sperrgebiet, in unmittelbarer Sichtweite der Grenzsperranlagen, darstellte und welche Bedeutung der Ort f\u00fcr die Menschen in der Region hat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eHeute ist die Vermittlungsarbeit ein essentieller Bestandteil unserer Arbeit\u201c, f\u00fchrte Vorstand Philipp Metzler aus und erg\u00e4nzte, dass \u201eSchulklassen aus Hessen und Th\u00fcringen einen gro\u00dfen Anteil in der Besucherbilanz\u201c ausmachten. Dass es bei der Verteilung zwischen Sch\u00fclern aus westlichen und \u00f6stlichen Klassen ein markantes Ungleichgewicht gibt, nahmen die Generalsekret\u00e4re aufmerksam wahr. Beide unterstrichen, dass die weitere Vereinfachung des Besuchs von Schulklassen eine wichtige Aufgabe in der Politik beider L\u00e4nder sei und dass dabei noch Potenziale zu heben g\u00e4be.<\/p>\n<p>Die Angebote zur politischen Bildung sowie der museale Part hinterlie\u00dfen Eindruck bei Leopold Born und Niklas Wa\u00dfmann. Sie konstatierten, dass \u201eein Ort wie Point Alpha f\u00fcr die Bildungsarbeit unerl\u00e4sslich\u201c sei und dass \u201eauch in Zukunft noch mehr Menschen, insbesondere Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene, Geschichte vor Ort erfahren\u201c sollten. Daf\u00fcr wollen sich sowohl der hessische als auch der th\u00fcringische CDU-Generalsekret\u00e4r in den jeweiligen Regierungskoalitionen ihrer L\u00e4nder stark machen.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=&#187;in_container&#187;
