Naturwacht-Fachtagung des Bundesverband Naturwacht e.V. &#8212; German Ranger Association besuchten k\u00fcrzlich die Gedenkst\u00e4tte Point Alpha. Die Exkursion stellte den Abschluss des dreit\u00e4gigen Zusammentreffens von Rangern aus ganz Deutschland dar. Unter dem Motto \u201eRanger \u2013 In der Natur vernetzt\u201c und unter Schirmherrschaft des Ministeriums f\u00fcr Landwirtschaft und Umwelt Hessen (Ingmar Jung) hatten die Tagungsteilnehmer zuvor in Hohenroda ihre Expertise ausgetauscht und Fachvortr\u00e4gen gelauscht. Nun galt es, \u201ebest practice\u201c-Beispiele in der Rh\u00f6n kennenzulernen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Bundesverband Naturwacht war im Vorfeld gemeinsam mit der Stiftung Naturschutz Th\u00fcringen (SNT) und dem UNESCO-Biosph\u00e4renreservat Rh\u00f6n mit der Bitte an die Point Alpha Stiftung herangetreten, eine der f\u00fcnf Exkursionsgruppen am Geschichtsort Point Alpha zu empfangen. Studienleiter Philipp Metzler kam dieser Anfrage gerne nach. \u201eAuf dem Gel\u00e4nde der Gedenkst\u00e4tte l\u00e4sst sich die Symbiose aus Historie und Naturschutz anhand des Gr\u00fcnen Bandes und seiner Genese aus der deutschen Teilung besonders gut aufzeigen\u201c, fasste der Historiker zusammen.<\/p>\n<p>Philipp Metzler f\u00fchrte die G\u00e4ste durch die Dauerausstellung im Haus auf der Grenze und gemeinsam mit Gebietsbetreuer Ralf Hofmann (SNT) auf dem \u201eWeg der Hoffnung\u201c entlang des Nationales Naturmonument Gr\u00fcnes Band Th\u00fcringen zur frisch renovierten F\u00fchrungsstelle bei Wiesenfeld. Nach der Besichtigung des Turms und einer St\u00e4rkung auf dem Sonnenplateau oberhalb Wiesenfelds erl\u00e4uterte Corinna Ho\u00dffeld vom Naturschutzgro\u00dfprojekt Th\u00fcringer Kuppenrh\u00f6n konkrete Ma\u00dfnahmen vor Ort zur Bewahrung der Kulturlandschaft. Durchgefroren, aber um viele Eindr\u00fccke reicher, gelangte die Exkursionsgruppe schlie\u00dflich zur\u00fcck zum Haus auf der Grenze.
