Partner ist die Hessische Landeszentrale f\u00fcr politische Bildung sowie die Bundeszentrale f\u00fcr politische Bildung.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eZwischen Spionage und Extremismus-Unterst\u00fctzung \u2013 Das Wirken des MfS in der alten Bundesrepublik\u201c lautet der Titel des Seminars (Seminarnummer: 2022-BPB-03) am 27.\/28. Oktober. Das Ministerium f\u00fcr Staatssicherheit ist vor allem als nach innen gerichtetes, staatliches Repressionsorgan bekannt. Tats\u00e4chlich bespitzelten die meisten Mitarbeiter das eigene Volk. Jedoch bestanden im MfS auch Abteilungen, die im westlichen Ausland und vor allem in West-Berlin und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, dem sogenannten \u201eOperationsgebiet\u201c, t\u00e4tig waren. Ihr Auftrag war in erster Linie das Auskundschaften sicherheitsrelevanter Bereiche. Gleichzeitig war die Unterst\u00fctzung von extremistischen Gruppen durch das MfS keine Seltenheit. Dadurch sollte zur Destabilisierung des politischen Systems beigetragen werden. Die Aktivit\u00e4ten des MfS und seiner (Inoffiziellen) Mitarbeiter in der Bundesrepublik stehen im Fokus dieses Seminars.
